C G Bonehill

Christopher G. Bonehill was born in 1831 in Birmingham. In 1851 he founded the firm C.G. Bonehill for the manufacture of firearms. His factory was the Belmont Firearms Works on  Price Street. C.G. Bonehill was a Guardian of the Birmingham Proof house. The firm continued until some time during the 1960s.

If you are standing at the top of Price Street and looking down, the Belmont Works would be on your right just down from the Bull public House. Today there is merely a rubble-strewn car park.
